Thought that I'd share this on the forum:
Last weekend I was puttin' in some early morning smile miles near Murphy (far west end of NC). I had stopped at a rest stop for a little fluid exchange & was headed back to the Suzy when I noticed a pleasant looking middle-aged woman on an intercept course. She caught up to me just as I was pulling on my gear & keying up the bike. She began to witness & asked if I would like to hear her personal story of how she became reborn & how it changed her life thereafter.
It was a beautiful morning, I was in a good mood from the ride, so I gently explained that I was comfortable in my state of salvation and an active member of a well-established denomination, and I would be delighted to hear her story if she would listen to mine. She agreed and was mercifully brief and to the point - including handouts. I then gave her that s**t eating smile that MC riding does to ya, patted the gleaming black tank of the Suzy & said "Theology aside, if you really want to change your life & experience total rapture, get one of these". Just for an instant her eyes narrowed, her lips pursed as if to reply and then she silently scuttled off to the other end of the rest area on a new intercept course towards a family from Florida clamoring out of the hatches of their massive SUV.
